Volunteer at MICC

At MICC, we strive every day to transform the lives of individuals and families impacted by autism and learning disabilities. We believe experiencing life firsthand is the best way to gain independence. MICC is looking for individuals who share our vision and want to help support our mission by joining our volunteer team. We are excited to work with volunteers that will bring their skills and passion to our community, making a meaningful impact on the lives of MICC participants.

What to Expect

We want your experience at MICC to fun and rewarding! Upon arrival you will be greeted at our Welcome Center, where we will introduce you to MICC and take you on a tour of our campus. Then you will meet the team you will be working with for the day. During this time, the project lead will provide any necessary information needed to complete the job that day. The experience is completely up to you! We offer a variety of positions for you to choose from, so that you can utilize your skills to better MICC. Whether you are just visiting for the day or looking to become invested in our community long term, we hope to build a long-lasting impactful relationship with you.

Community Maintenance Support

Community Maintenance volunteers help MICC maintain a welcoming environment for participants on campus. We offer diverse spaces that participants can utilize on campus, and it is important that we are able to keep these available for them. Here are just a few of the tasks that the Community Maintenance volunteers help with:
  • Fall Clean-up
  • Spring Clean-up
  • Lawn care
  • Inventory
  • Painting
The more the merrier - these activities can be even MORE fun in groups! Contact us for more information about group volunteering.

Events

MICC hosts several events throughout the year that bring the community into MICC. Volunteers are critical to the success of an event and a great way to begin a volunteer partnership with the organization. Here are just a few examples of MICC campus events:
