Move-in and In-person Orientation Schedule Outline

Please Note: Due to the evolving COVID-19 guidelines provided by the State of Minnesota and the Center for Disease Control, this in-person schedule is tentative and may be subject to change. Any changes will be communicated by email and available on this page.

Update from 8.6.2020:
In our past orientation and move-in communication on 7.31.2020, we had been hopeful about accommodating larger in-person presentations and sessions on our agenda. However, upon careful consideration by our Leadership Team, we have determined that we will not deliver in-person sessions on the mornings of Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th. To keep our community and campus safe on those days, we will focus on supporting students and families in a smooth and streamlined move-in process as students settle into their campus apartments.

Our Executive Director, Amy Gudmestad, will deliver a recorded Welcome Address that you will receive next week to kick-off our campus return. Additionally, on Sunday, students and families may return to campus at 11:00 am for a box lunch pick up in front of the main building and to say goodbyes before families depart at 1:00 pm. Students will have programming all afternoon and evening on Sunday to support them in adjusting to campus life and preparing for classes the first week.

The move-in details and designated time block you received remain unchanged. If the removal of in-person sessions causes any hardship or disruptions to travel plans, please let us know by Tuesday, August 11, 2020. We will work to accommodate your needs the best we can.

SCHEDULE FOR RETURNING STUDENTS

Saturday, August 15th - 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Staggered Check-in and Move-in for Returning Students (Designated time required, published on July 15, 2020). Box lunch provided by MICC.

Sunday, August 16th - 11:00 am - 12:30 pm box lunch pick up in front of Main Building. Families depart at 1:00 pm and students begin programming.
